Precision piston rods are almost always used in mechanical products. However, due to the different application ranges and working conditions of precision piston rods, sometimes precision piston rods must undergo processes such as electroplating, rolling, quenching, tempering, and nitriding. Through these processes, certain aspects of precision piston rod performance requirements may be better suited to product applications. However, not all precision piston rods require tempering. Quenching and tempering treatments are largely dependent on the materials used to manufacture precision piston rods. Since quenching and tempering are just a double heat treatment process of quenching and high temperature tempering, precision piston rod products after quenching and tempering can obtain the following benefits:
1. It can effectively improve the working strength of the material.
2. The quenched and tempered piston rod has good comprehensive mechanical properties.
3. It helps to close micro-cracks on the surface, prevent erosion from expanding, and improve the corrosion resistance of the surface.
4. After the precision piston rod is quenched and tempered, it can effectively eliminate the internal stress caused by quenching, so as to obtain the expected mechanical properties. Caution: During the quenching and tempering process of the precision piston rod, if the quenched precision piston rod is to be reheated, it must be carried out at a certain temperature (350°C ~ 650°C). Otherwise, if the temperature is higher or lower than this temperature, the internal stress caused by quenching cannot be eliminated, and the expected mechanical properties cannot be achieved.
