Manufacturing process of Honed Tube
Raw material selection: High-quality cold-drawn or hot-rolled seamless steel tubes are usually used as the base material. Common materials include carbon steel (such as ST52, 1045), alloy steel and stainless steel.
Precision honing process: The inner wall of the steel tube is ground with oilstone by a honing machine to remove microscopic unevenness and achieve a surface roughness of Ra≤0.4μm (or even lower).
Dimension control: After honing, the inner diameter tolerance can be controlled at H8/H9 level, and the straightness is usually ≤0.5mm/m, ensuring precise fit during assembly.
Post-treatment (optional): Some honed tubes will be chrome plated or phosphated to enhance wear resistance and corrosion resistance.
