If the guide ring is installed at the head of the piston, when the piston reaches the dead center, the guide ring can go beyond the piston stroke and partially enter the valve hole channel. A full-circle guide ring without cuts is allowed to protrude by 2/3 of the ring width; a full-circle guide ring with cuts is allowed to protrude by 1/3 of the ring width.
